Acquittal of a guarantor who signed a financing contract with Volkswagen.

The Court of First Instance number 4 of Girona issued on May 6, 2024, judgment number 259/2024, in favor of a client of the firm Velasco Blaya Advocats, Mrs. P.T.M., who had been sued by VOLKSWAGEN BANK GMBH after signing a financing contract for the purchase of a vehicle as a guarantor.

The client was not properly informed by the financial institution about the contractual conditions and, in addition, the financing contract had serious formal defects. For these reasons, the judge decided to dismiss the claim filed against the client of the firm in its entirety.

The judgment established an order to pay legal costs to VOLKSWAGEN BANK GMBH.
